Music by Matt Johnson, Tom Woodrow and PH

Unfortunately, there's only one song from Matt Johnson, Tom Woodrow and PH available (as far as I know). But this song is definitely brilliant. It's played by a real band on real instruments!

Title: Monkey Island Medley
Format: MP3
Size/Length: 3,17 MB / 07:54 min
Main style(s): Atmospheric / Slow Rock / Western step dance ...
Description: A fantastic medley featuring many of our favorite Monkey Island themes in original new ways. It's played by a real band and offers an amazing sound quality. Also, the transitions between the themes are good. I especially like how they arranged the LeChuck theme. Downloading this song is an absolute must.

Music by Trapezoid

The fan songs from Trapezoid can be divided into two major categories: The first two songs are inspired from the great Monkey Island tunes. The other three songs are rather funny ones, which play with words and sentences from Monkey Island.

Trapezoid has a webpage at mp3.com. Besides most of these songs, you can also find other songs that are not related to computer games. You can order a CD from Trapezoid there, but out of legal issues, it does not contain the Monkey Island songs. So, be sure to visit his page too!

Comment from Dominic Armato, the voice of Guybrush Threepwood, on the Mixnmojo Board: "You rock my world, Trapezoid!"  Well, if that's not a reference!

Title: Funky Island
Format: Midi
Size/Length: 20,9 KB / 01:49 min
Main style(s): Funk
Description: A brilliant song which deals with the Monkey Island main theme and the LeChuck theme. Very original. I absolutely recommend you this download. (What's more, since it's a midi-file, it can be downloaded very quickly!)

Title: Monkey Island 2 - Techno Medley
Format: MP3
Size/Length: 9,03 MB / 03:56 min
Main style(s): Techno
Description: Yet another great song... If you liked the (small) Funky Island midi above, it might be worth doing this huge 9 MB-download as well. The song features nine(!) great Monkey Island themes!

Title: Murray Mix + Murray Sugar Rush Mix
Format: MP3
Size/Length: 3,10 MB / 03:23 min  +  1,55 MB / 01:41
Main style(s): Parody
Description: A nice song, featuring the (original) voices of Murray and Guybrush. Very funny. Well worth the 3 MB download!!
The Sugar Rush Mix is actually the same song, just much faster... which makes the whole thing almost even funnier! Have you ever wondered how "Buahaha" could sound in "fast play"?

Title: Whoop
Format: MP3
Size/Length: 1,55 MB / 01:41 min
Main style(s): Parody
Description: You all know the treasure Big Whoop, that turned out to be a carnival?
Well, if you have ever visited the old Scummbar posting board *R.I.P.* or the new Mixn'Mojo Posting board, you might have noticed some strange people "whooping" around all the time there. Well, this is a song to honor this strange phenomenon.

Title: Yikes
Format: MP3
Size/Length: 3,78 MB / 04:07 min
Main style(s): Spoken Text + reggae background
Description: This is not really what you would call a song. It's rather a spoken story with a little background music. Be warned, even Trapezoid himself described this song as "disturbing" ;-)

Title: Sam & Max Disco
Format: MP3
Size/Length: 3,08 MB / 03:21 min
Main style(s): Disco
Description: If you liked the Murray song (see above), you're going to love this one too. It's a disco song composed by Trapezoid (not game related), mixed with cool and rhythmic dialogue lines of Sam and Max. It's a lot of fun.

Title: Day of the Sound FX
Format: MP3
Size/Length: 1,46 MB / 02:41 min
Main style(s): Typical traditional computer music
Description: This song "plays" with the famous sounds you heard in Day of the Tentacle. The music themes are not from the game, but you hear a lot of sound effects that were used in the game (for example the toilet).

Title: Le Chuck is Dumb
Format: MP3
Size/Length: 2,39 MB / 02:36 min
Main style(s): Techno
Description: This song is mainly an arrangement of the very famous LeChuck theme from the Monkey Island games (although you can also hear the Jojo theme for a short moment)... And for all of you who feel they are talented singers: Go ahead and sing! You can find the song lyrics under "More". And if you think you cannot sing: Never mind... Guybrush was tone deaf too!

Title: Flahh
Format: Midi
Size/Length: 12,6 KB / 02:09 min
Main style(s): March
Description: Well, theoretically, this song hasn't anything to do with LucasArts music. It is the long theme from Trapezoids fangame M'st'calities. But, since Trapezoid is a huge fan of LucasArts adventures, the song has definitely been influenced by LucasArts games... if you try hard, you can even discover some bits of LucasArts themes. It's a nice song, and since it takes only 12,6 kilobytes to download, you should absolutely give it a try!

Music by Bart Klepka

If you ever wanted to make a party where you could dance to disco-music from LucasArts games, these songs should fit your needs. Bart Klepka has managed to remix some original tunes to a new listening experience. The songs manage to keep the charm of the original game music, but add some new elements to it.

On Bart Klepka's webpage, you can find more music-remixes from other great computer games by other developers.

Title: Dark Forces - Victory Class Mix
Format: MP3
Size/Length: 6,22 MB / 06:47 min
Main style(s): Techno / Trance

Title: Barbery Coast - Booty Mix
Format: MP3
Size/Length: 5,40 MB / 05:53 min
Main style(s): Instrumental / Breakbeat

Title: Imperial Fighter - Reinforcement Mix
Format: MP3
Size/Length: 3,88 MB / 04:14 min
Main style(s): NewAge / TribalBeat
Description: After his Dark Forces remix, Bart Klepka has once again arranged the music of a classic Start Wars game: This time, he remixed a cue from Tie Fighter. Although completely in MIDI, LucasArts has made a great job in combining some famous Star Wars themes from John Williams (e.g. the Imperial March) with new and original ideas. And Bart Klepka has once again created a great remix of the whole experience.

Music by AmIEvil

I don't know much about AmIEvil, I've only heard that one Monkey Island arrangement from him until now. But wow, this is really a great arrangement... he must be a really good musicians. I've found the song on OverClocked ReMix, a cool page with tons of remixes from all sort of games.

Title: Monkey Island - AmIEvil remix
Format: MP3
Size/Length: 1,86 MB / 02:01 min
Main style(s): Classic / Celtic
Description: This is a very beautiful arrangement of the main theme from Monkey Island. It is ambient and has an amazing sound quality (sounds like real instruments, and not like cheap synthesizers)! It uses the main theme, but also has some amazing improvisations! Since it's a very small download, I really have to recommend you this one!

Music by Logan Whitehurst

Just like Trapzoid, Logan Whitehurst also has a page at MP3.com, and I really recommand you to visit his page, since, besides the Monkey Island fansong you can download here, it also contains tons of other cool MP3s.

Title: Isle of Monkeys
Format: MP3
Size/Length: 1,75 MB / 01:54 min
Main style(s): Slow March
Description: This song does not use any of the themes from Monkey Island, but it is kept in a similar style. According to the composer, it's a "little instrumental tribute to Monkey Island, one of the best series of games ever". The song reminds me a little bit of the theme from governor Phatt, but also a little bit of the carnival music from Sam and Max ;-)

Music by Slybo

Among some other compositions, Slybo has also written some music dedicated to the brilliant games from LucasArts. His songs don't use any game music, but use original music combined with dialogues from the games.

Title: Sam and Max Mix
Format: MP3
Size/Length: 1,10 MB / 01:35 min
Main style(s): Disco
Description: This song uses some funny dialogues from the games. All in all, it is a lot of fun to listen to this MP3... it reminds us very well of the typical Sam and Max feeling! (By the way, the "It's been really... educational" at the end makes me think a little bit at another fan song ;-)

Title: Full Throttle Mix
Format: MP3
Size/Length: 1,87 MB / 02:43 min
Main style(s): Rock
Description: I wonder why no one else had the idea of doing a Full Throttle mix before. Well, finally, we have one now! It uses a Full Throttle like background music, combined with a long monologue by Ben. This monologue could perhaps best be described with "Ben's life philosophy". As you can easily imagine, it quite reflects Ben's cool carelessness.

Music by Axel Melzener

Axel Melzener also seems to have very good music skills, and his song is in a great quality... sounds like a real orchestra! It would be cool to see more songs from Axel in future ;-)

Title: Crete Labyrinth
Format: MP3
Size/Length: 2,18 MB / 02:22 min
Main style(s): Classic
Description: This arrangement stays relatively close to the original game music. But it adds some very ambient variations and is in an excellent sound quality. The instruments just sound soo deep! Yet another fansong you just have to download!

Format: MP3
Size/Length: 4,37 MB / 03:11 min

Music by Highland Productions

Do I really have to introduce you to Highland Productions? They are the site for LucasArts midis... Telraium and Serge always did a great work with ripping, mixing and arranging our favorite songs from classic and new LucasArts games. (Over 90% of the midis in our Download Section are from Highland Productions, by the way!)
After a long break, they finally started producing new remixes... with the great quality we can expect from Highland Productions.

Title: Underground Tunnels Remix
Format: MP3
Size/Length: 9,04 MB / 09:52 min
Main style(s): Classic
Description: This remix is based on the Underground Tunnels music in Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge. The remix sounds very symphonic. The warm orchestral sound is enhanced by a real beautiful flute, played by Invisibelle. The big file size is compensated by a really long playing time (almost 10 minutes), so it's definitely worth the download.

Title: Governor Phatt's Room Remix
Format: MP3
Size/Length: 2,05 MB / 02:13 min
Main style(s): Classic
Description: This is a slow, orchestral version of the music from Governor Phatt's room in Monkey Island 2: Le Chuck's Revenge. The file size is not so big as the last time, so you really should give it a try!

Title: Sam and Max: Greetings from USA!
Format: MP3
Size/Length: 1,05 MB / 01:18 min
Main style(s): Jazz
Description: This is the song that plays when you drive around on the map ("Greetings from USA") in Sam and Max Hit the Road. It uses nice samples and sounds much better than the original MIDI-FM.

Title: Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis: Crab Raft Remix
Format: MP3
Size/Length: 2,68 MB / 02:55 min
Main style(s): Classic
Description: This song is one of my personal favorites. Already the original cue in the game (simple MIDI format at that time) made a great contribution to the mysterious atmosphere of the scene (rowing on a crab raft through the canals of Atlantis). But now, this digital version of the cue sounds even better than in the original game: Telarium managed to achieve a great orchestration with warm samples, and once again, the song is enhanced by enchanting flute playing from Invisibelle!
More: Comments from Clint Bajakian and Hal Barwood / Credits

Title: The Curse of Monkey Island: Rollercoaster of Death
Format: MP3
Size/Length: 5,13 MB / 06:23 min
Main style(s): Classic
Description: This is the interactive "symphony on LeChuck's theme" you get to hear towards the end of The Curse of Monkey Island. To provide us with the best possible sound quality, Telarium hasn't recorded the music directly from the game, but has built up a combination of several short cues ripped with Scumm Revisited. Besides, the song ends with a very special cue: it is the music you hear when LeChuck is buried under the ice (arranged by Serge)

Music by Ben Whatsisname

Ben Whatsisname, known from The Kickstand (a nice Full Throttle fanpage), has also produced a cool LucasArts related fansong. Now, I could continue to talk about Ben for hours... but why don't you simply try out his song?

Title: Monkey Kombat
Format: MP3
Size/Length: 2,94 MB / 03:12 min
Main style(s): Techno
Description: This song actually doesn't use music from a LucasArts game. So, why is this song featured here on iMuse Island? Well, the music is from Mortal Kombat, mixed up with noises and dialogues from the Monkey Kombat scene in Escape from Monkey Island. Very nice indeed!

Music by Mameluke

Some time ago, Mameluke was making up a Grim Fandango CD for himself, and decided to add some new tracks to the ones that are on the official soundtrack. So he used ScummRevisted and managed to mix up a few "medley tracks" containing some nice themes that were not published on the official CD.

Title: Lola's Last
Format: MP3
Size/Length: 1,61 MB / 01:45 min
Main style(s): Classic

Title: Latin LeChuck
Format: MIDI
Size/Length: 33,8 KB / 01:41 min

Title: Cantina
Format: MIDI
Size/Length: 45,6 KB / 02:53 min

Music by Eduardo Gouveia

I've found the following song, arranged by Eduardo Gouveia from Portugal, in the fan section from The World of Monkey Island... By the way: this site also contains other great Monkey Island fan art, such as drawings, comics, novels and more. I really recommend you to check it out!

Title: Monkey Island Rocks
Format: MP3
Size/Length: 4,67 MB / 05:06 min
Main style(s): Rock
Description: This song seems to be played by a real band, with drums, electric guitars and e-bass. As you can guess by the title, it is based on the Monkey Island main theme, and yes, it really rocks! It's really worth the download... By the way, is it just me, or does the beginning sound a little bit like the music you hear during the Runaway trailer? (Runaway is a very promising adventure, developed by the Spanish Pendulo Studios...)

Music by Steve McCrary

The older Star Wars games featured some excellent, original compositions (based on John Williams' famous themes). Steve created some medleys by listening very carefully to the midi-songs from those games and by reentering the themes, note by note, into a music programm. The results of this work are some high-quality MP3s that feature some of the greatest cues from the classic Star Wars games.

Title: Glory of the Empire
Format: MP3
Size/Length: 2,92 MB / 03:11 min
Main style(s): Classic
Description: This is a very enjoyable, orchestral remix of some great Tie Fighter themes. Tie Fighter used the "Imperial March" from John Williams, but it also contained great original music (in midi-format). This remix brings it all to a new, digital quality.

Title: Shades of Dark Forces
Format: MP3
Size/Length: 9,04 MB / 06:35 min
Main style(s): Classic
Description: Dark Forces used one new March for General Mohc that is played during the opening credits of the game, and Bajakian took that theme and used it in different ways throughout the game, creating an adventurous march for the last level, as well as making it major for positive music at the end. Steve used all three of those variations in this pretty long medley.

Title: The Arc Hammer
Format: MP3
Size/Length: 5,49 MB / 06:00 min
Main style(s): Classic
Description: This is a medley of the Arc Hammer level in Dark Forces. It starts with the cargo transfer from the Executor to the Arc Hammer, goes into the normal level music, jumps to some of the best fighting music from the level, back to the normal music, and ends with the music from the fight with the Phase 3 Dark Trooper. All of the note entry was done in Finale Allegro 2000, the patches came from a Roland XP-80 with Orchestral 2 Expansion, and the final mixing, stereo effects, and reverb were done in Cakewalk Home Studio XL.
